I am a Ph.D. candidate in Marine Science at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. Academically, I research the impacts of oil pollution on coastal-marine ecosystems, and for fun, I research PhD coping mechanisms (including memes). I am passionate about equal representation and inclusivity for women and others less-represented in STEM. I believe in the essentiality of science communication and awareness. In my free time, I dabble in dance, poetry (writings on medium) and go for walks with my cat.
