What drives a scientist to do their research?

We wanted to know why you guys do what you do? What makes a scientist get out of bed in the morning, go to the lab, and do their research. So we asked you! We carried out a survey asking scientists a whole bunch of questions to understand why they got into research and why they carry on doing it.  We got some really awesome responses. But rather than just tell you what you said, we decided to show you. Here it is, an awesome infographic of all your inspirations, challenges, drivers, and more. So go on take a look.

Surprising no? Only 3% of you said publication was your main driver. And half of you said scientific curiosity was your biggest inspiration.
